Ben Whitney
President, Armo Tool & Abuma Manufacturing
Ben Whitney is the third-generation leader of Armo Tool, founded by George and Ross Whitney in 1969. Soon after graduation from UofT in 2000, he became a full-time employee at Armo Tool, where he had worked on a casual basis since age 14. Ben worked as a PLC programmer, die designer and project manager before taking on the role of president in 2008. In 2017, he earned a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2013 from Western Engineering.
Ira Greenberg
Cobot Sales Specialist, ABB Inc.
Ira has recently joined the team at ABB Canada with a focus on expanding the solution-based offering of collaborative robots. An enthusiastic sales professional with more than 10 years of experience, Ira is no stranger to the automation industry. He has built relationships with many system integrators as well as with end-users at large OEM and Automotive Tier 1 companies through the negotiation of complex sales contracts and delivering cost saving solutions improving efficiency.
Jim Beretta (Moderator)

For over 20 years, Jim has been a driving force behind marketing, digital marketing and search strategies within the capital equipment automation and engineering manufacturing sector. Jim started his marketing consultancy, Customer Attraction, after leaving the corporate world in 2012. He has also worked with the technology leader Communitech Technology Association in Kitchener-Waterloo as an Executive in Residence and as Founding Executive Director for HalTech Regional Innovation Network in Oakville at Sheridan College and with Innovation Guelph.
